I am using a PC directly connected to the Modem. What are my steps?
First and Foremost we are happy to have you onboard.
The pictures we are showing might look at little diferent what you see but the prinzip is the same.
Check list for DSL connection:
1) download speeds to the subscriber are faster than upload speeds from the subscriber."> ADSL MODEM (not from TelUs) any standard DSL modem should be fine.
2) One Telephone connection wire (male/male RJ11) and one Network wire (RJ45)
3) one power supply for your modem
4) One PC or Laptop
5) If you use your DSL Internet over a Telephone line (not Dy DSL) you need filters for your Telephone
All complete than we are ready to connect it all
a) make sure all is turned off
b) Plug the RJ11 Telephone wire into you Telephone jack directly (The filter is for your Telephone only) make sure your Telephone wire is not to long Ideal about 4 feet or 1 meter and in to your Modem (the smaller jack)
c) Plug the RJ 45 Network wire on one side into to your Computer and on the other side into your Modem (the bigger outlet)
d) Plug the Power supply into your modem and turn the Modem on
e) Turn on your Computer
All should be connected and turned on now comes the Windows setup.
We assume you have Windows XP
1) Lets create the Internet connection:
2) When the computer is up and running:
Click on start and control panel
Click on Network connection a window will open:
Click on the Icon "New connection Wizard" window opens click next
Click Next:
Click Next:
Click Next:
Click Next:
Click Next:
