What are the steps to order ADSL2+?

Here are the steps:

First you must fill this form AVAILABILITY in order to see if it is available to you. Keep in mind, speeds can only be estimated since we do not know in what condition the infrastructure is to your loaction. A big factor are also the wires within your building.

If the Availability check was positive you will receive an orderlink.

Fill this order and add any comments

You will receive the Invoice(s) which state the service you have selected, Check everything carefully, if something is wrong we will be rejected and this will delay your activation.

After some time you will receive your username and password as well the activation date confirmation

At the activation date make sure that the DEMARC and your permises are accessible.

What are the benefits of ADSL2+ compare to the ADSL service?

ADSL is running through Bell Canada, whereas ADSL2+ is indenpendent from Bell Canada.

This means no throtteling or any kind of traffic shapping from Bell Canada.

The only part which is still Bell Canada's property are the wires between the DSLAM and the your location.
